The Annual Nick Drake Gathering, held in Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire is now headed for its sixth year celebrating the music and life of the very talented musician; Nick Drake. It is a great opportunity for musicians influenced by Nick, and fans of Nick to meet up and get to know each other whilst sharing their experiences, thoughts, music, good humour and the spirit of the event; which is non-profit, and funded by the fans for the fans.

Entry to concerts is completely free. Although donations towards the upkeep of the event are welcome or alternatively donations towards looking after the beautiful Church of St Mary Magdalene, Tanworth-in-Arden who kindly allow us to stage our main events there are much appreciated. Some people return year after year, and amongst them many new faces are appearing too. The 2008 Event is to be held during the first weekend in August.
(Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd & this year also the 3rd)

Yes, we have a third day of music planned on the Sunday
For those interested, on Sunday the 3rd there will be a special recital of some accessible classical music that Nick used to like and listened to. This will be done by Andrew Keeling (composer) who actually was in contact with Molly Drake. He will be performing with his friend Stuart Corrie.

The village of Tanworth-in-Arden remains quite untouched by the passage of time and is a very pleasant, peaceful place. Keeping this in mind we like to keep the event a fairly cosy affair, that the village can handle and also to maintain the sort of intimate atmosphere that both music and listener deserve.
